June 24, 2015

Nelson Mandela Youth and Heritage centre in Qunu, a second component of the Nelson Mandela Museum will be buzzing with learners coming from the Oliver Tambo District Municipality for the Annual Winter School Camp organised and facilitated by the Nelson Mandela Museum.

The camp will start on 28 June 2015 to 3July 2015 at the Nelson Mandela Youth and Heritage Centre in Qunu. The objectives of the camp are to encourage participants to understand the footprints of Nelson Mandela so as to reflect on their own identity, create a platform where learners can freely express themselves, impact knowledge, skills and values, and to inspire the participants in order to express themselves in a creative way.

Participants will further be inspired to champion values of Nelson Mandela using various art forms. The camp activities will be made up of Music and Dance, Visual Art, Poetry and Creative Writing, Oral History and Research, Drama, Storytelling and debate.
