CRITICAL REFLECTIONS ON THE LEGACIES OF OLIVER REGINALD TAMBO AND NELSON MANDELA

On the 28th of March 2017, a small town called Stellenbosch will host a well-known Researcher & Historian; a Communication strategists & politician, and a former student movement leader at Stellenbosch University who are to reflect on Legacies of the most admired leaders of the oldest liberation movement in the continent.

The organised Colloquium by the Nelson Mandela Museum in partnership with Stellenbosch University advances South Africa’s democratic gains through dialogue on memory, reconciliation and human rights values both leaders stood-for. The Colloquium comes at a time when the governing party, a home of Oliver Tambo and Nelson Mandela is celebrating 100 years of Oliver Tambo’s selfless contribution to the struggle for democracy.

The colloquium will further allow speakers to give an overview on ‘’ Critical Reflections on the Legacies of Oliver Reginald Tambo and Nelson Mandela’’. 

The Colloquium panel is made up of Prof Luli Callinicos, Mr Lionel Adendorf and Lwazi Phakade.

The venue for the colloquium is Stellenbosch University Museum,   52 Ryneveld Street Stellenbosch. The colloquium will start at 18h00.
