Dear Mandela ….Dear Rosa Parks: Letters from the Children invades Uitenhage

Nelson Mandela Museum in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Sport Recreation Arts and Culture has joined hands in bringing its iconic exhibition to the community of Uitenhage.

The exhibition titled Dear Mandela ….Dear Mrs. Parks: Children’s Letters is an initiative of the Nelson Mandela Museum, Nelson Mandela Foundation and Michigan State University aimed at publicizing letters from various children around the globe in a photographic exhibition.

Dear Mandela…Dear Mrs. Parks: Children’s Letters expose or share similarities noted by these children through their letters in order to inform, educate and to inspire debate.

Dear Mandela…Dear Mrs. Parks: Children’s Letter is currently on show at the Uitenhage Museum and it marks the fulfillment of the mandate bestowed upon to the museum by the department of Arts and Culture. Ours (Nelson Mandela Museum) is to build relations with various museums by taking Nelson Mandela Museum exhibitions around the country.
