NELSON MANDELA MUSEUM HOSTS NELSON MANDELA/ALBERTINA SISULU SEMINAR IN QUNU

The Nelson Mandela Museum is hosting a seminar, titled The Meaning Of Mr Nelson Mandela and Mrs Albertina Sisulu, as part of its year long 90th birthday celebrations.

Nelson Mandela and Albertina Sisulu both celebrated their 90th birthdays this year.

Dr Jabulani Sithole from University of KwaZulu-Natal, Dr Delaray Mkhatshwa from Mthatha and deputy minister of defense, Mr Mluleki George, are the main speakers at the seminar.

“The seminars form the intellectual programme of the Nelson Mandela Museum and are hosted by the Museum to enable discussion, understanding and investigation of issues around the history of the liberation struggle, the history of Nelson Mandela and his click here role in the liberation struggle as well as the history of his contemporaries,” said Khwezi kaMpumlwana, CEO of the Nelson Mandela Museum.

Through the seminar programme, the Museum celebrates the birthdays of the two struggle icons while promoting public engagement and a forum for debate on historical and contemporary topics of concern and interest to the public, the Museum and the heritage sector. All are welcome.
