Nelson Mandela Museum in partnership with Umtata Health Club will be hosting outdoor Aerobics as part of encouraging the community of Mthatha to live a healthy lifestyle. The event will take place on the 17th of November 2018 at the corner of Owen Street and Nelson Mandela Drive.
The event will start at 07h00 and finish at 10h30. Aerobics form part of the Museum’s Mandela Friday activities scheduled to take place within museum spaces and to other identified destinations. Hosting of aerobics, seek to give an opportunity to the citizens of KSD to exercise in order to reduce heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, heart disease, metabolic syndrome, stroke and other related disease that impact negatively to the lives of people.
The event will be embraced by learners coming from Mthatha High School, ST Johns High School, Attwel Madala High School, Holy Cross High and Khanyisa. The identified participating schools are the beneficiaries of Umtata Health Clubs initiative of ploughing back to the youth. The event is open to the public and it’s free of charge.
